Finding your footing in a career can feel like a wild rollercoaster ride, and it's an adventure that often includes bumps and twists you don't always expect.

We all embark on this journey, sometimes with a pile of textbooks and a dream that doesn't always match reality.

After years of studying, we might find ourselves asking:

"Is this really it?"

It's easy to get caught up in comparing yourself to siblings, friends, or anyone else who seems to be raking in the cash while you're still figuring things out. Ever heard the phrase: "Comparison is the thief of joy?"

But here's a little secret: it's not all about the money when you're just starting out.

It's about learning, growing, and gaining experience - the building blocks for bringing in the dollar.

When you start your career, try not to focus too much on the big picture: The little things count. Get involved in all the educational experiences you can. Remember, we're being paid to learn the ropes.

In the most recent statistics, 45,5% of youth (ages 18-34) are unemployed, higher than the national  average (32.4)

It's tempting to look at successful partners and directors and think, "I'd love to live that life like, right now!".

But they, too, had to start from the bottom - once in your shoes.

They, too, looked up to their seniors and thought, "One day, I want to be just like that!"

With great power comes great responsibility, including carving out a life for yourself.

APPLY YOUR MIND! Your mindset is so important. If you stay focused on your goals, you will see a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel. Onwards, and upwards!

Take it as it comes: Tackle complex problems at work as they come. Strive for a work-life balance and find peace of mind.

Life will throw plenty of stress your way, but it's crucial to manage it well. Avoid overworking yourself to the point of resentment.

Between 2019 and 2020, an estimated 17.9 million working days were lost due to work-related stress, anxiety or depression in the UK.

Everyone dreams of reaching the top, but it's important to remember that even those in the big leagues started from the bottom. They were once where you are now, figuring things out and pushing forward.

Keep this in mind, and enjoy the ride. It's all part of the journey to your own success.
